Hylenex is an injectable enzyme (hyaluronidase) that breaks down hyaluronic acid (HA) — the primary ingredient in most dermal fillers like Juvederm®, Restylane®, and Versa®. It allows us to dissolve filler that has migrated, created lumps, or was overdone, restoring a more natural look or preparing the area for future correction.

✅ When Is Hylenex Used?

We may recommend Hylenex for:

• Filler migration or puffiness (especially under the eyes or lips)

• Overfilled or uneven results

• Lumps, nodules, or asymmetry

• Complications such as vascular occlusion (in emergency situations)

• Reversing poorly placed filler from another provider

⏱ What to Expect During Treatment

• The procedure takes about 15–30 minutes.

• A small amount of Hylenex is injected into the treated area.

• Dissolving usually begins within minutes to hours, with full results in 24–48 hours.

• A follow-up may be needed depending on the amount of filler present.

🤍 Is It Safe?

Yes — Hylenex is  widely used in medical and aesthetic practices. Most clients tolerate it well, though mild swelling, redness, or tenderness may occur briefly after injection.

Note: Since Hylenex only works on HA-based fillers, it’s important to know which filler was used in your previous treatment.
